Inside Château Le Doux: Where Black Excellence Creates Magic

When we set out to create Château Le Doux, we weren't just building another campaign—we were constructing a monument to Black creative excellence. This project represents everything The Doux stands for: community, artistry, and the unwavering belief that when we create together, we elevate together.

More Than a Brand, A Movement

From day one, The Doux has been about more than products. It's a platform that amplifies the extraordinary talent and vision of Black creatives across photography, music, design, and film. Château Le Doux is the embodiment of this mission—a luxurious visual experience crafted entirely by the culture, for the culture.

The Dream Team Behind the Dream

What happens when you bring together over 30 of the most talented Black creatives in the industry? Pure magic. Executive produced by our founders Maya and Brian Smith alongside the visionary Elton Anderson, this production united an exceptional roster of artists who poured their hearts into every frame.

Under the creative direction of Jack Taylor, Jr., who also helmed as director, the project came alive through the lens of cinematographer Domo Jones. From the meticulous set design by Jocelyn Williams to the stunning beauty direction by Jazzmene Vitte, every detail was thoughtfully crafted to tell our story with authenticity and excellence.

Creating Space, Making History

The production brought together seasoned professionals and rising stars, from our steadicam operator Adeshola Adigun to our editor Richard Cannon. The glam squad, led by Marjorie Lightford on hair and supported by a talented team of makeup artists and stylists, ensured every look was nothing short of spectacular. Wardrobe stylist Apuje Kalu brought fashion-forward elegance to every scene.

Behind the camera, photographer Elton Anderson captured stunning stills while Brad Nelson illuminated our vision as gaffer for both film and photo teams. The entire production was powered by Creators of Color, a production company that shares our commitment to showcasing Black talent.

The Château Le Doux Standard

This project sets a new standard for what's possible when you trust Black creatives to tell Black stories. From the vinyl installations by Indigenous Graphics to the careful sound mixing by Gabriel Freeman, no detail was overlooked. Our production assistants—Dwight James, Marlo Su, Steven Shipley, and Juan Barton—kept everything running smoothly, proving that excellence exists at every level of production.

A Legacy in Motion

Château Le Doux isn't just a campaign—it's a declaration. It's proof that when given the resources, space, and trust, Black creatives don't just meet the standard; we set it. Every visual, every cut, every creative choice reflects our commitment to representing our community at the highest level.

As we unveil Château Le Doux to the world, we're not just sharing a campaign. We're sharing a piece of our heart, a glimpse into what's possible when Black excellence is given room to flourish. This is how we Doux it—together, unapologetically, and always with our culture at the center.

Because at The Doux, we don't just make space at the table. We build our own château.

Experience Château Le Doux and join us in celebrating the incredible creatives who brought this vision to life. When we create together, we elevate together.
