Your Step-by-Step Guide to Press Play Thermal Styling System
MONTHLY
Every 4-5 washes
STEP 1 & 2
CLEANSE, RESTORE, REPAIR
Rinse hair with warm water until
fully saturated. Apply a generous
amount of PRESS REWIND,
working through from scalp to
ends. Leave in for 2-3 minutes.
Rinse and repeat. Follow with
FAST FORWARD and apply a
generous amount from scalp to
ends. Allow it to sit for 3-5
minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
*For best results, apply products
to hair free of heavy waxes or oil based stylers.
STEP 03
ANTI-HUMIDITY TREATMENT
After shampooing and conditioning, part your hair into 4-6 sections. Spray 1-2 pumps of SILENT TREATMENT per section to hair, distributing evenly with a detangling brush.
*Only use every 4-5 shampoos

PREP & SOFTEN

STEP 05
BLOW DRY
Blow-dry each section using a brush or pick attachment.
STEP 06
PREVENT HEAT DAMAGE
ONE-PASS PRESS! O.P.P. softens in one pass to prevent straight spots created by double-pressing.
Shake well. Lightly mist over dry hair before using flat iron.
STEP 07
FLAT IRON
Flat Iron on desired heat setting.
We recommend at least between 380-410 degrees for best
results.
STEP 08
SHINE & STRENGTHEN
Hold the DOUX DROPS bottle 12 inches from your hair and mist 3-4 times all over for a lightweight shine.

GANGSTER WRAP
ROD SETS: Apply a generous
amount of Gangster Wrap to damp
hair in sections and roll or wrap as
desired.
PIXIES: Apply liberally and
mold/set hair flat before sitting
under a hooded dryer.
TRANSITIONING HAIR: Apply a
small amount to stubborn roots
and edges before blow-drying for
added control and humidity
resistance when wearing a silk
press.

HOODED DRYER
Utilize a hooded dryer to dry your hair. The drying time will vary depending on your styling preferences and the density of your hair.
STEP 05
DOUX DROPS
Hold the DOUX DROPS
bottle 12 inches from your
hair and mist 3-4 times all
over for a lightweight shine.

FLAT IRON
Flat Iron on desired heat setting.
